Professional training

WSET Training and Masterclasses

For years I have been teaching in Sweden and the Netherlands as part of the WSET Diploma training. For clients at home and abroad, I design masterclasses for professional audiences. My clients include the Napa Valley Wine Academy, the Rotkäppchen-Mumm Sektkellereien GmbH, the Consorzio Prosecco DOC, the Syndicat de Vin de Pays d’Oc, Vins de Bordeaux, the Biodynamic Association Demeter e.V., and many more.


Assortment design

After many years in top gastronomy, the combination of wine and food is one of my specialities. I would be happy to design an individual wine assortment for your gastronomy or trade. In doing so, I not only select the wines, but also optimise your wine purchasing, prepare informative expert reports, and conduct staff training and customer presentations.


Expert reports, wine journalism and books

I write tasting notes and catalogue texts for various wineries and retailers. I have my own column in the daily newspaper Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger and in the sommelier magazine of Meininger Verlag. I also write professional articles for the magazine of Spar Austria. In addition, I have published several books. The last one, “Von der Freiheit den richtigen Wein zu machen”, is about biodynamic viticulture and was published by Westend Verlag in 2021. For readings please see „books & articles“.
